Our Aim is to develop long-term supply partnerships with boutique jewelers worldwide who are interested in responsible sourcing of gemstones from Africa and Asia. Our initial sourcing network is focused in Madagascar but we are developing our business offering to scale in near future to multiple gem regions. DanZo also offers certification and consulting services for gemstones, gold, and critical minerals, in Africa and Eurasia.
Our Story
Zo is a Malagasy gemologist who was head of lapidary and jewelry at the Institute of Gemology in Madagascar (IGM) from 2004 through 2016, during which she led and coordinated training for hundreds of African lapidary students. Zo has contributed greatly to Madagascar's evolution into a world-class gemstone marketplace.
Daniel is a Canadian geo-scientist and ASM expert with more than 10 years of experience working to develop mineral supply chains in Africa. With extensive expertise in mineral processing, Daniel is passionate about value-addition in mineral supply chains, and efforts to "onshore" mineral processing in source-countries. Daniel lives with his family in France, where he is positioned to support international clients with personalized attention.
